Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council and its affiliates have served over a half-million residents in the tri-county area, and its programs have boosted the economy in Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg counties by an estimated $250 Million Dollars in direct assistance, with an economic impact of more than $1.25 Billion.

In December of 2015 Waccamaw EOC celebrated our 50th anniversary with a gala in honor of all of the positive progress we have made through successfully serving our communities since our inception in 1965. During our first 50 years, WEOC and our affiliates served over a half-million residents in the tri-county area. None of this could have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of our staff and Board Members over the years.
